NSI dental implants must be applied only by specifically trained dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons. The insertion of a dental implant is, for all practical purposes, a surgical intervention. These indications do not intend to replace or limit the clinical procedures known by the surgeon or dentist. They are rather aimed at indicating how to proceed for the insertion of NSI implants in order to guarantee the exact sequence of operations based on the tools supplied. It is recommended to foresee, in the pre-surgical phase, an amoxicillin-based antibiotic prophylaxis and a thorough analysis of the tissues to be operated upon as well as of the patient.
